# Prompts

> Paste this into Kino to get started

```text theme={null}
Use /brand-clone-video skill on https://kino.ai/ in a new project, assume square aspect ratio.
```

Agents work best when you let them grind in Kino for many minutes and even hours. We recommend using our embedded [Claude Code](https://kino.ai/docs/agents/claude-code.md) or [Codex](https://kino.ai/docs/agents/codex.md) for the best experience, not Kino's in-app chat, and most of it also works from [Claude Code or Codex over MCP](https://kino.ai/docs/mcp) or from a [Grok Bot](https://kino.ai/docs/agents/grok-bot.md) or [Devin](https://kino.ai/docs/agents/devin.md) session you message from your phone.

We have two key tips:

1. Refer to projects that you love with `@project-name` (or URL) in your prompt, then tell Kino about your new idea. This is how you can keep Kino on-brand and privy to filmmaking techniques you enjoy.
2. Use skills via `/` liberally and ask Kino to codify a successful result as a skill

## Stay on brand

When you want to stay on brand, immediately get started by asking Kino to clone your brand, an article you're working on, or just websites you enjoy via our official skill.

```text theme={null}
Use /brand-clone-video skill on https://kino.ai/ in a new project, assume square aspect ratio.
```

We highly recommend using Claude Opus 5 for this! It often grinds for over 10 minutes.

Once completed, you have a brand kit that agents can use in future projects!

Add motion graphics + B-roll over this A-roll in @SemiAnalysis Brand to illustrate the point. Add sufficient padding for social media viewing on mobile.
```
This video that explains how Kino works (but in the style of SemiAnalysis) was made with Kino's brand-clone-video skill. Claude used its knowledge of Kino's interface, Kino's [indexed media library](https://kino.ai/docs/features/media.md), and Kino's pro media support to explain why media indexing is so important to be a great video editor.
The whole edit came from one prompt, with the brand project @'d in:
Use the branding vibes in \[two kino project URLs] to find the most information-packed parts of what Dylan says across these videos, and make projects where each one is a 10–120 second clip of Dylan talking (use getEffectiveTranscript and other tools to cut out the crap if you want). We animate the things he's explaining, use web search to fact-check them, and pull in other SemiAnalysis data to really explain it! Let's use the guide already in kino about showing b-roll to complement a-roll — but this time the b-roll is motion graphics on the SemiAnalysis brand. You can also use my trykino.com Arc cookies to explore semianalysis.com/core-research/ and identify articles that have infographics / data we could use..
