# Panels

> The editor is made of panels. Arrange them into views, and have the agent build new ones

## Turn on dynamic panels

Go to **Settings > Experimental > Dynamic panels**. Views and custom panels both need it. The setting applies to the browser or desktop app you turn it on in.

## Views and custom panels

* A [view](https://kino.ai/docs/panels/views.md) is a named arrangement of panels with its own chats. Views are listed in the rail on the left side of the editor.
* A [custom panel](https://kino.ai/docs/panels/custom-panels.md) is a new panel that the agent builds for your project. It can be opened in any view.
